‘Tis the Season: December Book Haul

Before anything, I would like to apologize for my LOOOONG absence. As in my 3 month long break from blogging because college and life happened. Obviously in during those months, I also didn’t have time to read at all so my reviews would have been sparce but I’m back and I’ve read a bajillion books (only 17, really) during my holiday break in the hopes that I can end this drought. So, to cap off my hiatus here is my December book haul!

Contemporary Lovin’: August 2015 Book Haul

Last month, I did a lot of damage to my TBR by adding more than 20 books to it but this month I tried to restrain myself and buy less books. This month I also went back to school so that meant living right next to my favorite bookstore again. Nonetheless, I was able to exercise some restraint and I’m happy to report I only bought 13 books and 3 of the ones included in this hall were actually sent to me for review!

NO CONTROL: July 2015 Book Haul

“Don’t be surprised if my July Book Haul is even larger than this (I hope not though).”

These were my parting words on my June 2015 Book Haul post and unfortunately (or fortunately, whichever way you look at it) it has come true. I’ve bought 21 books this month, received 2 books for review and 1 as a present. That is a whopping 24 books all in all! I obviously have a lot of trouble exercising self control when it comes to buying books but really, it’s not hurting anybody (I’m even helping the economy!) and I read them all eventually. I mostly shop for books from 2 chain bookstores (Fully Booked and National Bookstore) and 1 bargain bookstore (Booksale). So enough blabbering and let’s get on to the books!

June 2015 Book Haul

This month, I did quite a lot of damage. I’ve been doing really well so far this summer in cutting back on my buying and from my usual 15-20 books a month, I went down to about 6-8 books in the Summer. However, this month I went a bit insane again and got 16 books. Here they all are in their towering glory:

As you can see my haul is clearly split into 2 piles and that’s because on your left (with the exception of Retail Hell), I got all these books brand new for full price and the pile on your right are all the books I got on bargain from Booksale (a thrift bookstore that sells second hand books here in the Philippines) Read on for the complete haul: Continue reading
